Christmas Window Decor

When it comes to outside Christmas decor, the best thing is to keep it simple. Once you start thinking of the basics, the rest will fall into place. The first things that you need to take care of are the Christmas tree, Christmas lights and homemade outside Christmas decorations. The other thing you need to decide is the type of theme you want to go ahead with. Nativity themes are pretty common. Make sure that you have a nice sized Christmas tree in your yard but also ensure that it doesn't block the passage to your house. Decorate the tree like you would decorate any indoor Christmas tree. Hang candy sticks, stalkings and stars. Try to make it as bright as possible by adding some lights to the tree and sprinkling some glitter on the tree. You can use both homemade decorations and market bought decorations also. You can decorate your house by putting up outdoor Christmas lights on the trees in the yard and on the house. Lights are ideal to give the perfect fairytale look to the house.

You can also have a sledge and a reindeer. Don't forget to give Rudolph a red nose. You can also make cardboard elves, pixies and many other outdoor Christmas decorations. If you have a driveway, don't forget to decorate it. You can do this by hanging some affordable lanterns along the driveway or you can even have a team of elves lined up on the driveway. Red and green are the colors of Christmas, stick to them but there is no harm in venturing outside the coloring lines. Big red bows are easily available in stores, you can use these bows for decoration too.

Another thing that you can do is making gift boxes and covering them with wrapping paper, then place them in your garden. You can also have figurines of animals cut out of cardboard strategically placed around the house and many other such Christmas crafts. Don't forget to decorate the door. There is plenty one can do to the door like adding cuttings of Christmas trees and presents, using ribbons and stalkings and flowers. If you are really creative, you can make a collage of pictures of your previous Christmas and decorate the door with it.
